# Refunds after cancellation

> When Acme refunds a payment, and how to ask for one.

- **Monthly plans** are not refunded, but you keep access until the end of the month.
- **Yearly plans** cancelled in the first 30 days are refunded in full.
- **Yearly plans** cancelled later are refunded pro rata for the full months left.

Refunds go back to the card that paid, within 5–10 business days. To ask for one, write to billing@acme.example from the owner's e-mail address.
